Known Issues
Adobe Flash Player version 10
Any of our CDs manufactured prior to October 2008 still work on computer systems with Adobe Flash version 9 or older. However, the CDs stop working if you upgrade your computer system to Adobe Flash version 10. If the program doesn’t start and displays “Slide 100 of 160” at the bottom of the screen, you have this issue. Newer CDs can be identified by a version number printed in large white letters on the CD label; old CDs have no version number.

There are several ways to rectify this issue. For the latest alternatives for getting older CDs to operate again, send an email.

Lost Association
When you place one of our CDs in your computer’s CD or DVD drive, it should automatically open your web browser program and start the course. If the web browser doesn’t open or you get a message that says there is no program associated with
this file, your computer has no "association" between the .html file type and your web browser. There are two possible solutions.

1. You can manually start the program each time. Open your web browser application (e.g. Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox), use the FILE OPEN command, select your CD-ROM drive and choose the file “player.html”. The course should start.

2. You can restore the association between the .html file type and your web browser application. For example, if you are using Windows Internet Explorer, follow these instructions from Microsoft. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307859

Startup Messages
At startup, you may receive one or more warning messages. These are normal and may occur depending upon the security settings you’ve selected in Flash Player. Take the actions shown.

Message Action you should take
To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from… Click on it with the right mouse button, select “Allow blocked content” and OK
Active content can harm your computer or disclose personal information... click "Yes"
Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation…stealthray.swf is trying to communicate… Click “OK.” Or click “Settings,” choose new setting and then restart the course.

Software connecting over the internet
A few customers have contacted us asking if our software is connecting to the internet while it runs on their computer. It does not. It is a standalone program that runs totally within your computer. You can prove it to yourself by disconnecting your computer from the internet and then noting that our software stills runs.
